To show his admiration for the Silves Bombeiros, Manuel Vitoria, the owner of Recanto dos Mouros restaurant, arranged with his suppliers Vivaldo, Aviludo, Alfredo, F. Mimosa and Camelo to organize a lunch at his restaurant in Silves. It all came together on 4 February when 100 local people and friends showed their support for the Bombeiros and had a wonderful afternoon with dancing and singing. Manuel and all his suppliers provided goods and services free so that the entire €1500 from ticket sales went to the Bombeiros fund.
Commandant Antonio Nunes and his deputy Victor Cabrita gave thanks to everyone for their excellent support and the confidence shown by local people for the service provided by his staff. He added that the spring dinner dance would once again be held at the Clube de Tenis in Carvoeiro on 1 April.
