Sixty one people enjoyed dinner and music on 26th February at Restaurant Casa Velha, Silves, in aid of the Bombeiros de Silves. Sr Abel from the Bombeiros was present and also one of the musicians playing that evening is a member of the Bombeiros.
Music was provided by Patrick Curry and João Caracol. John Havery was his usual jolly self as Auctioneer and as usual Barry Skipper conducted the raffle. He always raises a laugh with his jokes!
From the auction, raffle, tombola and a fun money game the sum of €1,122.00 was raised.
We now hope to purchase at least 8 of the safety jackets which cost €350.00 each.
