Fundraising Aims

When we had our last meeting with the Commandant of the Silves Bombeiros he said that his top priority was a new ambulance, as much of his existing fleet was very old, have few facilities and are unreliable. "New" for the Bombeiros will be a second hand vehicle from Germany which Antonio can obtain for about €15,000.
Our next Dinner Dance will be on the 29th of September at the Restaurant Ponte Romana in Silves. We will have a 4 course dinner, Fernando Oliveira will play for us and there have to be lots of prizes for the tombola, raffle and auction. Therefore we need your help again.
We want to try to raise enough money so that there will be another ambulance with improved facilities, including air conditioning, so that the Bombeiros can take patients on long journeys such as those from Portimão to Lisbon. By helping them we help ourselves.
