Fundraising Aims

Our friend Ludwig Schafer of the German fire brigade has once again helped the Silves Bombeiros receive a further delivery of vital equipment from both his and BMW Dingolfing brigades. With the kind assistance of K&R Transportes Lda, Paderne, two mobile pumps with associated equipment and a number of material belts were delivered to Comandante Antonio Nunes and his men.
There was much excitement when, with the help of Lothar, each of the Volkswagen engines was started and the equipment roared into life. Comandante Nunes has already decided how these additional pumps will form part of his strategic plan.
Ludwig feels confident that more equipment will become available from Germany and Sabine Reck of K&R Transportes has offered further support with delivery.
