Fundraising Aims

Our fundraising efforts have been helped greatly by Mr. Jahner, commandant of the Fire Brigade in Neumünster/Holstein, Germany. He learned about the needs of the Silves Bombeiros through his friend, Mr. Beckschulte, who lives in Armação de Pêra. Many of the Army Garrisons in Northern Germany are to be closed, and from there Mr. Jahner has been able to send a lot of different equipment with the transport company B&P-Sped, who are based in Munich and Faro.
This equipment includes a lot of basic equipment like shovels, special rakes to extinguish fire, hoses and connecting parts and connections for hydrants - a lot of equipment the Silves Bombeiros has never had before, and there might me more dontations coming from other Garrisons which close in the near future
